  • SWBAT using money to buy a movie ticket and a combo
  • SWBAT name the “4 steps of Going to the Movie Theater”
  • SWBAT role-play in the movie theater scenario

Vocabulary:

combo, showtimes, actor, actress, director, funny, tense, exciting, awesome, prefer, Greek.

Dialogue 1: (Choosing a movie) Patron 1 (P1) Patron 2 (P2)

P1: (Look at the showtimes.)

Do you want to see ___________(name of movie)?

P2: Yeah, it seems ___________( funny/ tense/exciting/ awesome,…)

{No, I prefer ___________(name of movie).}

P1: Okay, let’s buy the tickets.

 

Dialogue 2: (Buying a ticket) Clerk (C) Patron (P)

C: Which movie would you like to see?

P: We would like to see _________ (name of movie).

C: Where would you like to sit?

P: We would like to sit in (row) _____ (seat) _______.

C: The ticket is __350___ (amount) dollars.

P: Here you are.

C: Here is your ticket. Enjoy the movie.
