People have been fascinated with fish as pets since the days of the Roman Empire. Interestingly, they were kept under guest beds in tanks made of marble. By the mid-1800s, glass panes had been combined with tank designs, whichallowed for better viewing. What’s more, keeping fish in these glass aquariumsbecame all the rage. Over time, more advances like air pumps, water filters, andwater heaters were made to help marine life stay alive longer in tanks.
Fish tanks range from glass bowls to huge public aquariums. Most people are quite content to experience the beauty of the undersea world at public spaces. However, some are not satisfied unless they have their own exhibits in their homes or offices.
